Ultrasonography

Our Kontron ultrasound is a great way of imaging abdominal and thoracic cavities for your pet. These images differ from radiographs in that they show internal structural images through echolike sonar wavelengths.  Foreign bodies, stones, heart diseases, liver masses and many other medical conditions can be diagnosed more accurately using ultrasonography than radiographs and lab tests alone.  Ultrasonography is also a great way to check on the progress of unborn fetuses, or complications from pregnancy.  Our ultrasound equipment produces an image on the screen for diagnosis or study purposes.

A quicker and more accurate diagnosis through ultrasonography allows us to resolve a problem more efficiency.  We also have the ability to send ultrasound images to board-certified veterinary specialists online.  These specialists give a high-level second opinion in more complicated cases.
